Austrija's fotonaponski instaliran kapacitet svibanj doseg 1,2GW in 2022

The Austrian Photovoltaic Technology Platform (TPPV), a research institution, estimated in a survey report recently released that Austria may install 1.2GW of photovoltaic systems in 2022. If this prediction comes true, the country will have a gigawatt-scale PV market for the first time.

Hubert Fechner, chairman of Austria's Photovoltaic Technology Platform (TPPV), said: "We expect Austria's installed photovoltaic systems to increase further in 2022, exceeding 1GW, possibly reaching 1.1GW, 1.2GW or even more. Extraordinary dynamics, also in residential PV and ground-mount PV. This progress is very close to the numbers we need to meet our renewable energy targets."

Fechner predviđa the the installed capacity of fotonaponski sustavi instaliran in in Austrija in 2023 will be between 1.2GW and 1.5GW, and the installed capacity of photovoltaic systems installed every year from 2023 to 2030 will reach more than 1.2GW. The cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic systems could reach 4GW by 2022, compared with 2.78GW installed in 2021. At its projected growth rate, Austria could reach its goal of installing 13GW of fotonaponski sustavi BY 2030.

Accord to the survey, Austria installed 739.7MW of photovoltaic systems last year, of which the installed capacity of distributed photovoltaic systems was 655.7MW and that of centralized photovoltaic systems was 83.5MW.

Centralizirani PV sustavi will take a larger share of the Austrian PV tržište in 2021, accounting for a quarter of the total installed capacity, Fechner said. This trend is expected to continue through 2022 and beyond.

Fechner pointed out that one of the main challenges affecting the continued growth of photovoltaic system installed capacity is the public's acceptance of ground-mounted systems, which cannot match the high acceptance of photovoltaic systems in the existing market structure. Other challenges include the need for slow approval processes and grid stability.
